Yesterday I had precision garage door install a new motor. I was amazed that they were able to arrive only 50 minutes after I made the initial call. I scheduled an appointment for a repair to my garage door for my house in Royal Oak and Charles S showed up early in the afternoon. He had been to the house about two weeks prior for a similar issue but it wasn't the same issue he fixed before. He was very polite, diagnosed the new issue and repaired it quickly. After a nearby lightning strike, the garage door remotes stopped workig; investigation showed that the keypad was also dead. A call to Precision Garage Door Service resulted in a service visit. The technician, Pat, quickly diagnosed the fault: a blown motor control board, and gave us options. We chose to install a new garage door opener system. This took about 90 minutes, followed by training on the new system, including a smart phone app! Overall, a great experince - a new system installed and running.

Precision Garage Doors technician Jeff Bhelm came out to service my request for a garage door today, August 13, 2025 for remote opener replacement. He said he was required to inspect my garage door too. He showed me "three (3) small metal cracks" inside the door when raised and said they could pose a safety hazard if not replaced. I only called for a garage door opener replacement not a sales pitch for a new door! However I called PGD because of their TV commercials. Perhaps in the near future I will.probably consider them for a new garage foor. Jeff was just doing his job and left a brochure just in case... I was satisfied with the new garage door opener programmed to my existing system. Service call charge is $75.00 however it is part of the inspection tion

As I have used Precision before I called Precision Garage Door today when garage door would not go up and noticed a broken spring. They had a tech, Alex, here within an hour. He replaced the springs and bearings, roller and cable. While I don't have any other price to compare it too I thought it was a bit high but I will believe it was in the right ball park. Alex did the work in under 1 and 1/2 hours. I would definitely call them again.

Our garage door opener stopped working so we called Precision Garage Door Service. it was later in the day so we opted for a next day appointment. Jeff arrived at 8:00 am after a phone call letting us know which was great.
