I first worked in the boating industry in South Florida. The owner eventually sold the business in the market crash of 2006. During the last six months of being in the boat business I met a husband and wife that were opening a BatteriesPlus Bulbs franchise. At that time I became an owner of the business as the Operations Manager and the owner planned to open 3 stores. We grew the business in 5 years open a store in year 1,3,5 which the business plan was 7-10 years with earning my ownership in the first 5. I stayed 15 and they had no plans on selling soon. I still have my ownership until the business sells. I then moved to Michigan to get away from the business and spent the last couple of years getting to enjoy time with my daughter which now attends Mizzou. So after we got in college I needed to go back to work.
