What does the warranty cover?
New Garage Door Installation
All new garage doors furnished and installed by Precision Garage Door are covered for defects in workmanship and labor for one year from the date of installation.
The garage door manufacturer provides its own separate warranty for both the door and its parts. This warranty does NOT cover the garage door or its parts. A Precision Garage Door technician will correct any defective workmanship and repair or replace the defective part, if it’s covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, at no charge for labor for up to one year from the date of installation.
Garage Door Repair
Our Limited Lifetime Warranty is provided when we perform a complete overhaul repair, or “rebuild” to an existing garage door. This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship, including installation, for new and rebuilt parts furnished by Precision Garage Door as a part of the repair. The Precision Garage Door technician will perform the repairs, but if repair is not possible, he will replace any defective part or workmanship at no charge for materials.
This Limited Lifetime Warranty begins when repairs or any installation are complete. This warranty cannot be transferred. For repairs to an existing garage door, the warranty continues for as long as the original customer owns the repaired garage door. For a new garage door installation and a complete overhaul repair, the labor warranty is for one year from the date of installation or repair. The warranty terminates if the original customer sells or no longer owns the repaired or new garage door.
Our Standard Warranty or Partial Service Warranty covers repairs completed. Because the door system components work together, partial or limited repairs may result in additional components failing. Precision Garage Door will correct any defective workmanship and repair or replace the defective part if it’s covered by the manufacturer warranty at no charge for labor for up to one year from the date of completion of the work order.
How Long Coverage Lasts
This warranty begins when repairs or any installation are complete. This warranty cannot be transferred. The warranty terminates if the original customer sells or no longer owns the repaired or new garage door. For a new garage door installation or repairs to an existing door, the labor warranty is for the term indicated by the term indicated by the “Warranty Options” section on the front page of this invoice.
What isn’t covered?
If anyone other than the authorized Precision Garage Door technician who performed the original service works on any new or repaired part covered by this warranty, then that part and the labor to repair or replace that part is not covered under this warranty. For new garage door installations, see the manufacturer warranty for what is not covered under its warranty.
This warranty does not cover any materials or workmanship provided by anyone other than the Precision Garage Door of West Michigan employee who issues this warranty.
This warranty does not cover consequential or incidental damages, such as damage or injury to a person or property because a garage door did not operate properly.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty does not cover problems caused by abuse, misuse, civil disturbance or Acts of God and does not cover commercial door installation or repair.
